2024 Early Outfield Rankings
The outfield position has been quite top-heavy in recent seasons. In our Bubba and the Bloom positional reviews, we noticed the top outfielders provided a strong fantasy return, but the production became much spottier as the draft went on.
Outfield has a lot of five-category studs, but you have to draft them early, as previously mentioned. You can find power and speed scattered throughout the rest of the draft, but the players may not help and may even hurt in some other categories.
Looking into 2024, it may be vital to draft two, if not three, outfielders in the first 5-6 rounds, especially in five outfielder leagues. I also recommend learning the player pool in a big way to know which players to target later in drafts to help round out your roster.
Now, to the rankings. These are preliminary rankings. A LOT will change before the heavy draft season. Don’t worry; I’ll update frequently, and eventually, there will be a Google Doc you’ll have access to where you’ll see the constant updates.
